Tesla's "full self-driving" faces another NHTSA probe after fatal crashes in low-visibility conditions

Please provide me proof that they aren't aiming for or aspiring to have near perfect vehicles.
Who sells production vehicles with an alpha "self-driving" optional extra called "auto pilot" which can't do what the marketing or name says it can do, and doesn't get to 1.0 after 9 years? That is the issue. They called it Auto Pilot, implied full self-driving, and put this unfinished feature into a production car they've sold to the public since 2014/2015. No modern car company would take such risks by selling an unfinished feature as something it wasn't and wouldn't imply a capability it doesn't have especially when it could be a safety issue.

LOL...retaliation. People being burned alive in Tesla didn’t prompt an investigation, but Elon’s political stance did. Ironic
No one here as said anything about politics until your post. This would have been an issue regardless of Elon's support for a wannabe super villain.

If auto-pilot was implied to be self-driving, then why do airplanes have two pilots? And yes, no car company would do it, but because autopilot is trademarked. Instead there’s co-pilot though!

Also from firsthand experience, Tesla Autopilot works great, and far better than the competition. The feature they started selling in 2014 and first delivered in 2015 is now complete. It was never supposed to be perfect, and it’s still far better than the competitors’ offerings.
